Will you choose one of the ancient cities, a modern villa or an impressive Gothic cathedral?

Culture and sights
“Registrations in the UNESCO cultural heritage list are not bestowed lightly; there are less than a thousand in the whole world but you can find 16 of them in the Czech Republic. Apart from the historical centre of Prague, Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora and Telč these for example include the Functionalist Villa Tugendhat in Brno, the historical gardens and chateau in Kroměříž and the Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Žďár nad Sázavou. The Czech Republic is known for its impressive castles and chateaux which have been well preserved throughout the centuries. These sights are not just sleepy museums but offer historical festivals and markets showing old crafts, night-time tours with guides in costumes, concerts and other art performances. There are around 2000 chateaux, castles, fortresses and their ruins in the country.”
