Be pampered by various regional delicacies



The traditional cuisine of the mountain regions in the north of the country attracts cheese lovers in particular. Orava cheese dumplings are a real specialty, but N. 1 of gastro-folklore are bryndza dumplings, served in many restaurants across the country. In the south, lovers of spicy food will be in for a treat. Cabbage specialties, goose and sweet trdelnik are characteristic of the West. There are six wine-growing regions in Slovakia. Tokaj is the smallest wine-growing paradise in the world. Local wines can be tasted during autumn vintages and on wine tours.
