European Quartet One Melody

Máčanka is a dish typical for eastern Slovakia. It can be described as somewhere between a thick soup and a sauce and varies depending on the region. Anything can be put into it, and so perhaps even each village has its own recipe. In some localities it is prepared with milk, in others with cream; mushrooms can be added, as well as meat, cabbage, sauerkraut, various spices or it can be without any milk at all. In some regions it is served on Christmas holidays.
