European Quartet One Melody

Svaty Jur is situated close to Bratislava. It is an old settlement with more than 700 years of viticultural tradition. Vine growing has also influenced the local architecture. Its houses are prevailingly from the 17th to 19th centuries. The Roman Catholic Church of St George is one of its most important cultural and historical monuments. The early Renaissance stone altar is unique in Slovakia and bears the statue of St. George.

The secular historic monuments of the town include the remains of the town fortifications, which dates from the 17th century completes the list of sacral monuments in the town. It is now home to a brewery and accompanying restaurant. from the 17th century and the equally old Renaissance Pálffy manor house, later adapted in the Baroque style. It now houses the Academia Istropolitana Nova. The reconstructed Piarist monastery
