Horseback riding is very popular in Poland and has extremely long traditions. There are a large number of horseback riding centres and stud farms. Depending on the location of the centre, you can ride a horse on a sandy beach of the Baltic Sea, in the forest or in the mountains. The so called “vacations in the saddle” are a popular way to spend holidays in Poland. They can be organised by the centres, which also offer comfortable accommodation.
Horses hold a particular place in Polish culture and tradition: they are treated as ‘friends and partners’ and are very popular animals. Stables are located from the Sudetes to the Baltic Sea and also in the vicinity of Gdańsk, Krakow, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław. They can organise horse-back riding courses or western cowboy film-style meetings.
