  • St. Martin's Cathedral in Bratislava - the coronation church of Hungarian and Austrian kings and queens with the Baroque altar. The dominant feature is the 85 meter high tower. At its very top, on a gilded cushion, a gold-plated replica of the Hungarian royal crown is placed.

  • St. Elisabeth’s Cathedral, Kosice - dominant in the city centre, is the largest church in Slovakia and, at the same time, the easternmost situated cathedral of the western type in Europe. Special attention should be given to the altar of St. Elizabeth built between 1474 -1477. A significant part of the church is Europe’s largest set of 48 Gothic panel paintings.
