Romantic valleys with rock cities alternate in Bohemian Paradise with meadows, log cabins and lookout points from the rocks, which offer an enchanting view of the surrounding area. This region is also unusually rich in historical monuments. Two examples of these are the famous ruins of Trosky Castle or the Renaissance Hrubá Skála Chateau. Testament to the importance of Bohemian Paradise is the fact that it was included in the UNESCO list of European Geoparks in 2005. If you already happen to be in Bohemian Paradise, do not forget to get to know one of its unique features, a precious stone – the blood red Bohemian garnet. Information about its history, processing and use in jewellery making can be gained at the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov.

You will find the region of Bohemian Switzerland in the northwest of the Czech Republic. The most sought-out rock formations in the national park include the Pravčice Gate and the sandstone bridge, which is the largest of its kind in Europe.

The Adršpach rock city lies north of Náchod, close to the border with Poland. Several interesting circuits around the rocks, which create unusual figural shapes, also await you here.
