The famous Greenways path passes through the Czech Republic, linking two Central European capitals: Prague and Vienna. The path provides a link between the most beautiful locations in the Czech Republic – from Vienna, it runs through the South Moravian wine growing centres of Mikulov and Valtice, where the UNESCO listed Lednice-Valtice Complex is also to be found. The path continues on via Znojmo and the picturesque Slavonice, and then on through the beautiful historical towns of Jindřichův Hradec and Tábor and the Třeboň region, a region full of fishponds. It then turns to the north in the direction of Prague.

Other popular cycle paths include the path along the River Labe from the Giant Mountains right up to the charming Hřensko, the cycle path linking the Czech capital Prague with the Moravian capital Brno as well as the path leading along the foothills of Šumava from Domažlice to Český Krumlov or the Amber Path from the Austrian city of Vienna to the Polish city of Krakow, leading from the south of Moravia right up to the north, to Český Těšín. This path copies the old Amber Path, which connected the Baltic region with the Mediterranean in the times long past of the Celts.
