Poland Host European Championships in Eventing

Top Riders, Best Horses, Great Spectacle

2017 will be a remarkable year for Polish equestrian. In August in Lower Silesian- Strzegom FEI European Championships in Eventing will take place. Poland for the first time ever will be the host of championships status event in one of the Olympic equestrian disciplines.

The Championships for Seniors take place every two years and its sports rank is comparable with World Championships or Olympic Games. It's a very prestigious equestrian event with top European riders taking part.

Eventing is one of the toughest and most spectacular equestrian disciplines. It consists of three tests, during which rider- horse combination is to show not only grace and elegance but also courage and stamina. This discipline has its origins in military tradition and brilliantly refers to the rich history of Polish army and cavalry.

This year championships will take place from 17th until 20th August on Hippodrome in Morawa near Strzegom. Roughly 20 national teams and 80 riders will compete. It will be a spectacular sport and media event.

The last edition of European Championships, set in Scottish Blair Castle in 2015, was broadcasted in 96 countries by 50 TV stations. It generated a total of 330 hours of emission and cumulated audience of this event was 35 million viewers.

FEI European Championships in Eventing mean top riders and great horses giving us unique chance to watch them in head to head competition.

During the event, there will be also plenty of non-sport entertainment. There are concerts of pop and folk music in the evening timetable and throughout the day there will be equestrian shows, huge exhibition zone with equestrian and local goods as well as entertainment park with inflatable slides and pony rides for kids will be working.
