Czech Republic: A Farmer’s Market Paradise! It does not matter which part of Bohemia or Moravia you visit. With a bit of exaggeration, you can find a farmer’s market in the most remote Czech villages. The current boom of markets started in 2009 when the very first farmer’s market took place in autumn in Prague Klánovice. It seems that the Czechs have fallen in love with farmer’s markets. In some of the big cities, you can buy quality food regularly every week, in other places it is once a month. Most markets are open from March to November. In winter, only some market places with limited assortment are open. Farmer’s markets are an ideal opportunity to taste delicious homemade food and enjoy the atmosphere of true Czech markets.
