From 11th to 18th of November one of the most recognised movie festivals is coming back to Bydgoszcz. Camerimage festival is in fact alternative to traditional film festivals - films are rated according to the visual, aesthetic and technical categories. The Festival proves to be a great forum not only for presentation but also for further development of international moviemaking. CAMERIMAGE helps young filmmakers and integrates the community of those already recognized, allowing them to explore new artistic areas. Almost 300 films from this year’s Camerimage line-up will be presented in just 21 days.

Main competition films in 2017 are: “mother!” (dir. Darren Aronofsky), Woody Allen’s “Wonder Wheel,” Todd Haynes’ “Wonderstruck,” Brimstone” (DP Rogier Stoffers, director Martin Koolhoven); “The Butcher, the Whore and the One-Eyed Man (Tibor Máthé, János Szász); “First They Killed My Father (Anthony Dod Mantle, Angelina Jolie); “Hochelaga, Land of Souls” (Nicolas Bolduc, François Girard); “Loveless” (Mikhail Krichman, Andrei Zvyagintsev); “On Body and Soul” (Máté Herbai, Ildikó Enyedi); “Still Life” (Jonathan Ricquebourg, Maud Alpi); “Sweet Country” (Dylan River and Warwick Thornton, Warwick Thornton); “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” (Ben Davis, Martin McDonagh); and “Volhynia” (Piotr Sobociński Jr., dir. Wojtek Smarzowski)
