In August in Strzegom (Lower Silesia) European Championships in Eventing will take place. Why is it worth to be there and see this great event live?

1.  The only one event like this in Poland: it’s the first and unique chance to support- here in Poland- the best Europeans riders in the competition at the level comparable to World Games and Olympic Games.

2. Equestrian Triathlon: three disciplines in one event. It is the most spectacular and challenging discipline where a combination horse- rider has to take three tests: dressage, show jumping and cross-country- an off-road run with fences.

3. Dancing horses: dressage test shows the highest level mutual understanding and harmony when the horse and the rider become unity. Beautiful movements, grace and lightness are results of subtle communication between an animal and human, communication which is unnoticeable for spectators but gives the marvelous result.

4. Adrenaline on the cross-country: this is something for those who love the sporting thrill. Riders are cantering with the speed of 570 meters per minute on a 6 km long course with 40 fences to jump through. This is the show of speed, courage, stamina, as well as the partnership between horse and rider.

5.  Show jumping under the oaks: at the phenomenal arena, under old oaks, the last test for horse and riders will take place: show jumping competition. Athletes have to show extreme precision because the slightest tap of the pole will result with knock down and (similar to a refusal of a jump) penalty points.

6. Ladies at the starting line: feminists will appreciate that equestrian is one of the very few disciplines where women and men compete together on equal conditions. Women are allowed to take part in equestrian competitions since 1952. The first woman who has used right was American rider Helen de Pont. In 1964 she took part in Olympic Games in Tokyo.

7. Cossack Trick Riding: this is a Caucasian art of horse riding used by Cossack on the battlefield. Stuntmen will show breathtaking acrobatics on a cantering horse: jumping off, jumping through, picking up a hat from the ground, and hanging on the side of the horse. A show that you just have to see.

8.  Fan zone: there’s a lot of entertainment prepared: concerts, shows, food hall and for children Fun Park with a carousel, inflatable slide, bungee, climbing wall and pony rides.

9. LIVE better than TV: Sports show tastes better live than on TV.  Close contact with the athletes guarantees you will feel the sport spirt. Seeing so closely cantering horses is just unforgettable.

10. Be a part of this remarkable event: The event will be broadcast in almost 100 countries all over the world. Join the international spectators’ community, who will come to Morawa from 20 countries to follow the competition live. Show everyone what amazing supporters we can be.
